The Birth of Venus is a painting by the Italian artist Sandro Botticelli, probably executed in the mid 1480s. It depicts the goddess Venus arriving at the shore after her birth, when she had emerged from the sea.
I like a lot the interpretation of Maria Diaz of this painting and I took her chart as the base of my embroidery: I didn't stitch the backgroud and I added some fingers (the original chart doesn't have them).
Then I made a beautiful jewelry box: wooden box, impregnated with wax.
